Небезивестният в юридическите среди Петьо Петров – Пепи Еврото оглави Столичното следствие, съобщи сайта “Хроники”. Информацията бе потвърдена и от собствени източници на „Съдебни репортажи”. Това се е случило със заповед на градския прокурор Николай Кокинов от вчера. По закон административните ръководители на окръжните прокуратури в страната назначават със заповед шефовете на следствените отдели към тях.
Петьо Петров се прочу като „професионален прокурорски свидетел” по няколко обществено значими дела, а участието му в тях неизменно будеше съмнения.
Следователят бе основен свидетел по процеса срещу бившия шеф на Софийската районна прокуратура Славчо Кържев, както и по делото срещу бившия военен министър Николай Цонев, бившия главен секретар на финансовото министерство Тенчо Попов и съдията от Софийския градски съд Петър Сантиров.
Едно от обвиненията, които повдигна прокуратурата срещу Кържев бе, че на 8 февруари 2002 г. е склонявал Петьо Петров (тогава прокурор) да върне на Петър Милев, обвиняем по досъдебно производство, лек автомобил „Опел Вектра“, който бил предмет на спорна собственост. Следовател по производството е бил Ясен Тодоров, срещу когото Милев е подал жалба. Близо пет години по-късно делото приключва, като три съдебни инстанции признават Кържев за виновен по това обвинение.
Обвинителната теза на прокуратурата се крепи на показанията на двама души – натисканият подчинен прокурор на Кържев – Петьо Петров, който е и единствен очевидец на престъплението и Ясен Тодоров – тогава следовател по делото срещу Петър Милев, а сега член на ВСС. Милев е спорният собственик на колата, която се твърди, че Кържев накарал Петров да върне. На практика именно Петьо Петров и Ясен Тодоров са свидетелите, на чиито показания и трите инстанции „стъпват”, за да признаят Кържев за виновен. Съдът се доверява безусловно на Петров и Тодоров, като кредитира техните показания за сметка на няколко подчинени прокурора на Кържев, които подкрепят защитната теза.
След като чува присъдата на първата инстанция, Кържев я коментира лаконично пред журналисти: „Петьо Петров е един много добър професионалист в своята област. Вие ще отгатнете в коя. Направете си извода за какво съм осъден и кой е основният свидетел. Аз съм единственият ръководител, който е осъден”.
Петров изиграва ключова роля и в разследването срещу Николай Цонев, тъй като прокуратурата твърди, че тримата подсъдими са участвали в „сговор”, предлагайки му подкуп. Делото е минирано от СРС-та, които според съда на първа инстанция са използвани незаконосъобразно, а съмненията, че Петров сам си е поискал облага, така и не бяха разсеяни докрай. Изслушаните записи от специалните разузнавателни средства в съдебното заседание пред СГС показаха значителна активност на Петров в комуникацията с обвинения за посредник в предаването на подкупа съдия Сантиров.
Именно Петров е й следовател по делото за пране на пари срещу съсобствениците на „Труд” и „24 часа” Огнян Донев и Любомир Павлов.
Припомняме също, че Петров е „защитен” от колегите си от прокуратурата след като на 12 юли 2010 г. в София предизвиква катастрофа, като удря две коли. Пристигналите на място полицаи тествали Петров с дрегер, който показал над 1.2 промила алкохол. Кръвната проба на следователя обаче впоследствие изненадващо установила само 0.2 промила алкохол в кръвта. Софийската районна прокуратурата обаче отказва да образува дело, тъй като по закон такова се образува, ако кръвната проба покаже над 1.2 промила. Става ясно, че разследването е осуетено преди да почне, защото кръвната проба е била взета над четири часа след инцидента, въпреки че по закон това се прави не по-късно от час. След намеса на ВСС материалите по делото са пратени в Софийската градска прокуратурата за проверка, която потвърждава постановлението. По-късно се намесва и Софийската апелативна прокуратура, която връща преписката на районно ниво и праща материалите и на Инспектората на ВКП. Междувременно изтичат давностните срокове за образуване на дисциплинарно производство срещу Петров.
